Flower Diamond - Sterling Promise Inc.

Dubbed the “Flower Diamond”, Sterling Promise Inc., presents one of the world’s rarest creations on earth. Showcasing a perfectly symmetrical, six-petaled flower inclusion, this naturally-formed diamond was first discovered by Gemologist, John Humbert, while in Brazil on a gem buying expedition. Originating from the jungles of Minas Gerais, this rough diamond of 6.23 carats was carefully cut into a pear-shaped ornament, and modified into a brilliant 3.02 carat stone.

With a core flower inclusion, this rare find is now center-set in a pendant hung on a platinum necklace containing an additional 32 additional carats of diamonds, though there are a myriad of other ways for this quality jewel to be presented. Despite being graded by the Gemology Institute of America (GIA) as a fancy brown-greenish diamond, Humbert describes it as more greenish to the eye, explaining that “the clarity of any gemstone depends on the number and type of inclusions the stone features.” These inclusions are small imperfections created due to the extreme pressure and heat each diamond undergoes when formed.

While most are more valuable when re-cut to eliminate inclusions, the Flower Diamond’s unique hydrogen cloud of microscopic gas bubbles, is what makes this jewel one of the rarest creations ever seen, thus significantly boosting its prestige.

The New York-based company thus offers innumerable custom design, handmade settings, updating appraisals, and laser repair services, alongside a vast selection of jewelry for all occasions.
