Coldplay have shared their new single titled “Higher Power.” Max Martin produced the track, which the band are premiering via an extraterrestrial transmission (complete with dancing alien holograms) from the International Space Station. The band will also link up virtually with French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who is currently aboard the ISS. Check it out below.

The band teased the song last week, calling the renowned producer “a true wonder of the universe.” The group began work on the track early last year. After releasing the double LP Everyday Life in 2019, the band said they would no longer tour due to concerns over the environmental impact of doing so. More recently, singer Chris Martin joined Burna Boy on “Monsters You Made” from last year’s Twice as Tall.
