Believe it or not, air tickets are difficult to come by even if you have the money these days. The resumption of international travel has caused a surge in the number of people booking the first flight out of the country to visit locales across the globe. For those who have missed the opportunity to get a place or are stuck with work commitments, use the “air miles” and embark on A Gin Odyssey this June, from 12 to 26 at The NCO Club.

The two-week long journey will take place across four experiential rooms and showcases Pernod Ricard’s dynamic gin portfolio such as the Beefeater London Dry Gin, Malfy Gin from Italy, KI NO BI Kyoto Dry Gin and Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin. For those just starting to get acquainted with gin as well as seasoned drinkers, the curated juniper journey is sure to be a treat for the senses and a destination to learn more about the history of gin.

London Beefeater

Just as the UK celebrates Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee with much pomp and circumstance, the best of what London has to offer comes to the forefront. In terms of gin, it would be the Beefeater London Dry Gin. The summery flavours of the city are bottled, packed and shared with us in Singapore. Not only are the distinct tastes of England’s capital telegraphed in a special cocktail made for the event, but the country’s symbolic London Underground station in red and blue also decorates the place.

Amalfi Coast, Malfy Italy

Moving south, the gin voyage takes us to the famous Almafi Coast in Italy. In a Malfy-themed room, be ready to indulge in a glass of Malfy Gin Con Limone cocktail to welcome summertime. A vibrant alfresco ambience encapsulates the dolce vita spirit of the Italian while the drink bursts forth with zingy sun-ripened lemons and Almafi lemon peel. A beach getaway with Malfy Gin is your key to an unforgettable Italian holiday this summer.

Ki No Bi, Kyoto

Travelling across the Atlantic Ocean, be enchanted by the traditional tea hut of Kyoto in the KI NO BI room. Stepping into the space, the olfactory senses will pick up the aroma of green tea, ylang-ylang and negroni. A quick introduction to KI NO BI gin through snapshots and videos, the session will highlight the intricate craftsmanship in creating this artisanal spirit. After that, a resident bartender will guide the guests, in tea ceremony style, to make a cocktail inspired by mochi and green tea.

Germany Monkey 47

For the last stop, it is back to Europe in Germany’s Black Forest. In this Monkey 47-themed cabin, get the low-down on the Schwarzwald DNA that makes the brand unique with every experiment conducted. Take a taste and make a toast to the wunderbar with a special drink that will demonstrate the gin’s balanced mix of botanicals like juniper, grapefruit and lavender.

Of course, the gin odyssey in The NCO Club will have to come to an end, but guests can continue exploring the world of gin at home as they can make their purchase on-site. Aside from the brand’s flagship expressions, others like the Beefeater Pink Gin and KI NO BI GO are available too. There are also limited quantities of the Monkey 47 Distiller’s Cut 2021, an annual limited release that adds a botanical on top of the base Monkey 47 gin. The 2021 edition features Monarda didyma, also known as the scarlet beebalm, which adds a spicy top note with a hint of lemon and bergamot.

Head down to The NCO Club between 12 to 26 June and enjoy A Gin Odyssey. Attractive prizes will be given away, including JW Marriot staycations, F&B dining experience, and more to 50 lucky attendees. Guests are automatically entered into the prize draw when they purchase a ticket. To double the chances of winning, they can join the #AGinOdyssey social media contest and share their favourite experience highlights on Instagram and Facebook.
