Olivia Rodrigo brought out a lot of special guests during her tour, but tonight (August 24) it was her turn to return the favor. Billy Joel invited Rodrigo onstage during his headlining show at Madison Square Garden where the two sang her song “Deja Vu” together as well as his 1983 classic “Uptown Girl.” Watch it happen below.

“Hey, guys! Thank you so much for having me, Billy. I’m such a huge fan, and I kind of wrote this next song about you,” Rodrigo said after walking onstage. She then started singing “Deja Vu”—which famously recounts her introducing an ex to his music and includes the lyric “Play her piano, but she doesn’t know/That I was the one who taught you Billy Joel”—while Joel sat at his piano.

Rodrigo released her debut album, Sour, last year. It earned her two Grammys for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best New Artist. Next month, Rodrigo will induct Alanis Morissette into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
