The colors in our lives are about to change. The universe has designed the world in a way that illustrates. The vibrant greens of the loathsome hot summer, draining us of energy, faded beneath the ever-varied candles of the sky and replaced by the anthocyanin pigments of the rusted tones of autumn. The brown hues of harvest, the dark hazel sparks of sunlight peaking through the trees, the intense oranges and amber yellows and the contrast of the violet and blue shades of indigo slowly dying. The season which anticipates the grayness of winter falls on the autumnal equinox when day and night are equal in length on September 22 and 23. Not so coincidently, on these brown sugar and cinnamon eves composer Randy Edelman will be adding to the scarlet textures of autumn in New York, highlighting his enchanting solo performances.
The shimmering silk tones of Randy’s song will vibrate through the cosmos like the satin strands of a spider web stretching through time, echoing through the eons of his career and accomplishments at Chelsea Table and Stage (152 West 26th Street in NYC) on Friday September 22, 2023 at 9:30 PM.
On the following night September 23rd, Randy will be debuting at the iconic Ice Palace at Cherry Grove in Fire Island at 8:00 PM. There will be a special Ferry at 11:00 PM transporting people back to the mainland.
Randy is the Grand Finale of the season in a venue that has celebrated the likes of artists including Patti LuPone, Chita Rivera, Liza Minnelli, Alan Cumming, Lady Gaga, Carol Channing, Margaret Cho, and a marathon of others.
