Frankie Chau, Chairman of Nextwave Yachting, and Joshua Lee, founder and CEO of Lee Marine

Hong Kong-based Nextwave Yachting has expanded its interests into Southeast Asia after it acquired a “significant stake” in Thailand dealership Lee Marine. Founded by Joshua Lee in Phuket in 1997, Lee Marine represents Riviera, Sunreef and Belize for new sales, has brokerage and superyacht divisions, and holds the Asia-Pacific licence for Northrop & Johnson.

NextWave was founded in Hong Kong in 2012 and represents brands including Sunseeker, Invictus and Sunreef, also operating strong brokerage, charter and water toys divisions.

Frankie Chau, co-founder and Chairman of Nextwave, said: “The acquisition of Lee Marine represents more than a business venture – it’s a union of shared principles and a convergence of visions. Together, we embrace the momentum of growth in this vibrant region, uniting our respective experience with the dynamism of an expanding enterprise.”

Joshua Lee, CEO of Lee Marine, added: “We’re excited to announce this partnership to the market and expect our combined experience and resources to deliver significant long–term benefits to our manufacturers and client base.”
