Azimut Grande 30M Superyacht Sold to Hong Kong

Azimut has revealed designs for the Grande 30M, the fourth model in the Italian builder’s superyacht series to feature an Alberto Mancini exterior but the shipyard’s first yacht to feature an interior by Milan-based M2atelier. The enclosed flybridge motor yacht is expected to debut in 2025 and orders include a hull sold by regional dealer Marine Italia to a Hong Kong client.

The exterior design includes the Deck2Deck™ Terrace and Infinity Skydeck, which were introduced on the Grande 26M and ‘semi-walkaround’ Grande 36M respectively, both launched in 2022. The Grande 30M’s skylounge has sliding doors on the port and starboard sides as well as aft, plus a ‘full-walkaround’ upper deck that runs flush from the stern to a bow featuring a spa pool.

The Deck2Deck™ Terrace is incorporated on the main deck, where the cockpit can be expanded aft when the teak garage door is raised to a horizontal position.

M2atelier, an architecture and design studio founded by Italian Marco Bonelli and Serbian Marijana Radovic, has used interior language that draws from different fields, ranging from residential to contemporary art.

The wide-ranging influences have helped create fluid and informal spaces “to be lived and used in great relaxation and freedom, where time passes slowly and where the perception of light is the heart of the experience”.

Features include large, floor-to-ceiling windows and an “ethereally light” internal staircase forward of the dining area that allows light to descend from the upper to main deck. The chosen materials adhere to Azimut’s desire for a “sustainable minimalism” attentive to people’s wellbeing and respect for the environment.

The Grande 30M is one of Azimut’s Low Emission Yachts, which now account for more than half of the brand’s models. Low Emission Yachts have 20-30 per cent less consumption and CO2 emissions than similar-size models with hard-chine hulls and traditional shaft line.

The yachts’ improved fuel economy is a result of three key factors: reduced weight due to extensive use of carbon-fibre, increasingly efficient hulls, and innovative propulsion such as the POD system installed on the Grande 30M.
