NextWave Yachting debuted its own Nextender at the Hong Kong International Boat Show in Club Marina Cove. Available to purchase as a production model or for charter, the 28ft speedboat was showcased in the water alongside an Invictus GT280 and a Capoforte CX240, with the Italian sister brands among the dealer’s portfolio of international brands.
Designed and built by NextWave with multiple units already on the water, the Nextender is a versatile open day boat with drop-down sides and one or two outboard engines. The nonslip deck includes a series of bolt holes that allows modular furniture, including bench sofas, sunpads and tables, to be fixed and removed depending on the boat’s requirements or the boating season.
The centre console is fixed, but otherwise the boat can be completely cleared of furniture if, for example, it’s being used to transport goods. As shown by the Nextender based in Kwun Tong, a full-beam bench seat with storage and backrests can be inserted at the aft end of the deck, while three-person benches can be placed fore and aft of the helm.
The forward end includes a built-in, aft-facing bench that can also be used as a step to get on or off the boat at the bow, which includes a removable handrail to assist with access. A canvas bimini covering the helm can also be inserted or removed when needed.
NextWave offers a Nextender for crewed charters with themed options including harbour or sunset cruises (two or four hours), a Geopark tour (four or eight hours) or fishing tours (eight hours), with options such as catering, inflatables, water toys and stewardesses.
