Following the conclusion of its regional collaboration with Simpson Marine, Beneteau has appointed two new dealers in Hong Kong. Asiamarine will be the Hong Kong dealer for Beneteau’s sailing yachts, which include the Oceanis, Oceanis Yacht, First and First SE ranges. Asiamarine’s new yachts portfolio also includes Galeon, Nimbus, Axopar and Lagoon, a Groupe Beneteau brand.
Also in Hong Kong, NextWave Yachting will represent Beneteau’s motorboats, which cover the Flyer, Antares, Gran Turismo and Swift Trawler series. NextWave’s other brands include Sunreef, Sunseeker and sister brands Invictus and Capoforte.
The appointments are the first to be made across seven markets in Asia following the end of Beneteau’s contract with Simpson Marine, which began in 1985 and concluded following the dealership’s recent acquisition by Sanlorenzo. Simpson Marine sold over 500 Beneteau boats in nearly four decades.
Jean-Francois Lair, Beneteau’s Brand Director, said: “We’re grateful for the strong partnership and dedication that Simpson Marine has shown in successfully growing the Beneteau brand across Asia. I particularly want to acknowledge Mike Simpson and his team for their outstanding work in delivering our boats and providing consistent support to our shared customers.
“Beneteau will continue its very strong presence in Hong Kong with two new partners. Asiamarine will now represent Beneteau sailing yachts alongside NextWave Yachting, which will be looking after motorboats. This will ensure continuous support for Beneteau owners.”
Richard Allen, Simpson Marine’s COO, added: “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed representing Beneteau throughout Asia over the last 40 years and assisting hundreds of clients in their yachting journey. We’ll continue to look after all our existing Beneteau owners, and will ensure a seamless transition for all our customers around the region. We wish Beneteau continued success for the future.”
