Lürssen has delivered Kismet, which left the shipyard on May 7 and embarked on her maiden voyage. The 122m superyacht is spending her first season in the Mediterranean and is available for charter through Cecil Wright.

Kismet’s state-of-the-art technology includes a cutting-edge hybrid power train and a full-electric mode, making it among the world’s most powerful yet energy-efficient megayachts. Other innovative features include a heat-recovery system in the generators used to heat the pool water, as well as dynamic positioning for electronic anchoring in sensitive and remote areas.

Designed by Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard, Kismet has sleek, elegant lines and an overall length of 122m (400ft) when including the bowsprit, and a 17.8m beam. The majestic mast and the bow figure, resembling a leaping jaguar, add grandeur to her profile.

For the interior, the owner again called upon Reymond Langton Design, which has created what  Lürssen describes as “another interior of unparalleled beauty and sophistication, tailored to reflect the owner’s unique lifestyle”.

Highlights include a two-level open-plan entrance area adorned with sweeping video walls, a Nemo cinema on the lower deck featuring a 12ft 6in television and an underwater seating area, and a luxurious seven-star wellness area.

Formerly known as Project Jag and launched down a slipway in 2021, Kismet wasbuilt for an experienced customer who had already commissioned two previous yachts from the German builder. The yacht marks the third collaboration between Lürssen, the client and long-time owner’s representatives Kyle and Gerry Fultz.

Peter Lürssen of Lürssen said: “The owner’s brief was challenging. However, we believe that with our technical expertise, we have fulfilled the owner’s wish and vision for a yacht that will still be timeless and ahead of its time for many years to come.

“Our thanks go to the excellent design and communication with the designers Nuvolari-Lenard and Reymond Langton and the Lürssen project team. Special thanks go to the competent and experienced owner’s team, Kyle and Gerry Fultz.”
