Pa Salieu has shared two new songs. “Epiphany (Freestyle)” and “Crash (Freestyle)” follow last month’s “Belly,” which celebrated the British Gambian rapper’s release from prison, after serving 22 months of a 33-month sentence. Both songs come with music videos, and feature Salieu rapping over beats from longtime collaborators Felix Joseph and AOD. Watch the new videos below.
“While I was in jail, I realised how fortunate I was to always have my thoughts for company,” Salieu said in a press statement. “My mind was my escape, and I fell in love with the pen and paper and that’s when I had an epiphany—I have a voice, a platform, and something meaningful to say.”
