One of ‘Dexter’s Most Beloved Villains Returning for ‘Resurrection’

We’re about three weeks away from the premiere of Dexter: Resurrection on Paramount+ with Showtime, and though we already know that the series is bringing back a number of people from the past, it looks as if an OG villain is suiting up to also make an appearance. Christian Camargo recently took to social media to post a video of himself flying across the country, with all signs pointing to him once again playing Dexter’s estranged brother, Brian Moser – aka The Ice Truck Killer – who died in Season 1 of the original series.

Set to the tune of Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again,” the video shows the star traveling through airports with luggage in hand, while the caption asks, “Where’s Camargo?” Toward the end, we see him plop his luggage down on a bed in a hotel room before everything cuts to a film camera, and Nelson’s slick vocals give way to the Dexter theme as we see the iconic wardrobe Camargo wore as Rudy Cooper.

10 Most Killer Villain Performances in ‘Dexter’

The villains of ‘Dexter’ stole the show, and the actors behind them gave a killer performance.

Picking up right where Dexter: New Blood left off in 2022, Resurrection sees everyone’s favorite vigilante serial killer miraculously on the mend from a seemingly fatal gunshot wound. Now on the hunt in New York City for his missing son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), Captain Angel Batista (David Zayas) is hot on their trail from way down in Miami. Also starring Peter Dinklage, Uma Thurman, David Dastmalchian, and Neil Patrick Harris, the series will bring back James Remar as Harry Morgan and John Lithgow as The Trinity Killer, who, much like we suspect in the case of Camargo, will both appear as visions in Dexter’s twisted mind.

Fans React to Christian Camargo’s Video

As one of the series’ most beloved characters thanks to his charming personality and handsome good looks, fans of Camargo were quick to react to his video on social media. While he may have been a killer, the character of Brian earned sympathy from the fans much in the same way Dexter did, for being a victim of circumstance. After all, Dex wasn’t alone in that shipping container when his mom was killed – Biney was there, too, and it became clear that he suffered just as much trauma as his brother. They just chose to channel it in different ways.

“Bro, if we get Christian in Resurrection, I’m gonna tweak that’s gonna be so good golly,” commented one person on the video. “Best character in Dexter is back,” added another. “Biney going to be one of Dexter’s visions in Resurrection,” gussed one TikTok user, and many others made sure their voices were heard by simply writing, “Biney is back!” Camargo liked as many comments as he could, pretty much sealing the deal that yes, he will be returning in Resurrection, though for how long is anyone’s guess at this point.

You can check out Camargo’s return next month when the first two episodes of Dexter: Resurrection hit Paramount+ on July 11. From there, the remaining eight episodes will air weekly until the conclusion of the first season on Sept. 5.
