Aquila Power Catamarans has announced its line-up for this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (September 9-14), where the powercat leader will exhibit four models in Vieux Port’s Quai Max Laubeuf. The line-up will be headed by the world premiere of the Aquila 46 Yacht, which joins the brand’s Yacht series of flybridge powercats.
Featuring an overall length of 47ft 2in and a beam of 23ft 3in, the 46 Yacht has been designed for long-range cruising and has CE Category A ocean certification. In the standard configuration, the yacht is powered by twin 320hp Volvo Penta D4 engines, while options include a full-beam master suite forward.
The 46 Yacht is billed as a little sister to Aquila’s 50 Yacht and features a similar explorer-style aesthetic. In September, the 50 Yacht (click for Review) will mark its Europe debut at the Cannes show, having had its world premiere at last year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and its Asia premiere at this year’s Singapore Yachting Festival.
The six-day Cannes show will also host the Europe debuts of the Aquila 42 and 46 Coupes, which both had their world premieres at this year’s Miami International Boat Show, while the latter was a winner at this year’s Yacht Style Awards in Singapore. Both cruiser models are fitted with the innovative Aquila Hydro Glide® carbon-fibre foil system.
The 42 Coupe and 46 Coupe (click for Review) models on show in Cannes will both feature Volvo Penta Dual Propellor Inboard (DPI) engine packages, marking the worldwide debut of the inboard propulsion option on the new Coupe series.
