L.T.L (Larger Than Life) Redefines Toronto’s Caribbean-Hip Hop Sound With Global Ambition

With roots steeped in Caribbean culture and Toronto’s urban hustle, L.T.L (Larger Than Life) is stepping into the spotlight as one of the most exciting collectives to emerge from Canada’s music scene. The group—made up of Erin B, One Don, Enzooo, Yung 2nuff, Meeko, and Jojo—creates music that is both raw and refined, blending the traditions of dancehall and reggae with hip-hop energy and the cultural pulse of Toronto.

For L.T.L, music was never a backup plan—it was destiny. Whether it was Erin B writing poems for his grandmother, Jojo crafting viral riddims in Toronto, or Meeko banging out drum patterns on school desks, each member found their calling before they ever knew it would be a career. As the group explains, “Honestly, we don’t think we’d be doing anything else. Music was always going to find us—it’s the one thing that makes sense for all of us.”

Their influences run wide: Jah Cure, Vybz Kartel, Chris Brown, Tory Lanez, Wu-Tang Clan, and countless others. Yet beyond the legends, the group credits their biggest inspiration to their community—the day-one fans who believed in them before the spotlight.

Performance has become the backbone of L.T.L’s growth. The group has rocked audiences across the UK and Toronto’s local venues, bringing the same fire to international stages as they do in their hometown clubs. “The best venues are always the ones where the crowd is interactive—singing, pulling up tunes, and vibing with us,” they share. “We don’t even have a least favorite venue yet—every show has been a blessing.”

One of their most defining moments comes whenever they perform “Dagga Riddim Cypher”, the breakout anthem that transformed them from a crew into a movement. “That song will always be special—it’s the one that made people realize we were Larger Than Life,” the group says.

While rooted in the live energy of dancehall, L.T.L’s rise has been supercharged by the internet. With social media carrying their sound far beyond Toronto, they’ve built fans across the globe, proving that consistency in content and community engagement can take local vibes worldwide.

But L.T.L isn’t just here to ride the wave—they want to change it. “If we could change one thing about the industry, it would be more platforms and opportunities for Black and Caribbean artists in Canada. Too many times, the world only notices us once we blow up outside our own backyard.”

With eyes on collaborations with Toronto’s biggest exports, including Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR, L.T.L is preparing for the next chapter: more music, more visuals, and more stages.

“We’re not just making songs—we’re building culture,” the group affirms. “Toronto has a dancehall-reggae voice, and we’re here to make sure the world hears it.”
