SB PRODUCTIONS HOSTS PRIVATE INDUSTRY SCREENING OF “12 HOURS” WITH CAST AND FILMMAKERS IN ATTENDANCE

hosted a successful first look private industry screening event for its psychological horror short 12 HOURS, held on Saturday, July 18 at the Eastwood Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. The event welcomed industry guests, media, and film enthusiasts for an afternoon of screenings, followed by a reception celebrating the debut.

The program featured a curated showcase of three SB Productions shorts — The Come Up Ten Why’s, culminating with the official world premiere of the highly anticipated horror short 12 HOURS.

Written and directed by Somalian-American filmmaker Mohamed A. Bere, 12 HOURS was unveiled alongside producer and SB Productions co-founder Sharmarke Mohamed and executive producer Eve Richards. The film’s star Mimi Dybs, director of photography Matt Sierra, production designer Norma Meza, gaffer/editor Muhammad Mubashir, camera operator Sasha Brown, set photographer Aldo Siquenza, and digital imaging technician Keanu Cooper were present to support the premiere.

12 HOURS follows Emily (Dybs), a young caregiver who accepts a seemingly routine overnight assignment that quickly descends into a psychological nightmare. The film was met with strong audience reactions, praised for its atmospheric tension, grounded performances, and emotionally driven approach to the horror genre.

“Premiering 12 HOURS for a live audience was incredibly meaningful. I set out to explore psychological horror through a human lens—where tension is rooted in vulnerability and perception—and it was rewarding to see that atmosphere resonate so strongly in the room,” said writer-director Mohamed A. Bere.
