Duane “Keffe D” Davis Found Guilty

“After Davis obtained a gun, he entered into a white Cadillac, along with Terrence Brown, DeAndre Smith and Orlando Anderson,” Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jason Johansson told reporters at a press conference. “At some point in time, as they were in the white Cadillac, Davis took the gun that he had obtained and provided it to the passengers in the rear of the vehicle.”

However, Davis later told authorities he had misrepresented the account of events to sell books and accused his co-author Yusef Jah of adding false details, per CNN. For his part, Jah previously told investigators he wrote the book based on conversations with Davis, also admitting he’d “ad-libbed” certain parts, according to The New York Times. As such, Davis pleaded not guilty when the trial began on Aug. 10, while the other suspects named by police were already deceased.

In the early days of the proceedings, Davis engaged in a tense exchange with the prosecution, led by Chief Deputy District Attorney Binu Palal.
