Thurston Moore has announced a new album that’s due in the fall. It’s called By the Fire, and it’s out September 25 on his Daydream Library Series label. He’s shared a song from the record, “Hashish,” which you can hear below.

My Bloody Valentine’s Deb Googe contributed bass and backing vocals to By the Fire, while Moore’s Sonic Youth band mate Steve Shelley plays drums on some of the album. In May, Moore released the one-off track “May Daze” on Bandcamp. His most recent album under his own name was last year’s Spirit Counsel.
