In the midst of the most spectacular virtual benefit concert on the planet presented by Visionary SohoJohnny, the Let Me Help foundation and #IAMNOJOKE via Creative Visions, a touching song entitled “Goodbye” was sensitively performed by artist Rachel Lorin. Written as a tribute after the death of her father of which today marks the year anniversary of his passing, one could easily detect the pain Lorin still felt.

Rachel Lorin has already created a buzz nationally with her lyrical storytelling and her passionate musical bewitchment. Hailing from Atlanta,Georgia, the gifted beauty began a modeling career at the tender age of nine. She later segued her talents into a music career in New York and gained recognition for singing the national anthem at the US open when she was 12, and later joined the cast of the popular reality show, “The Next Big Thing.”

Although Lorin’s “Goodbye” seemed a cathartic journey, a way to embrace the pain of her dad’s passing, the song brought a deep emotional empowerment to those listening who have gone through a similar situation, especially during a time when penicillin can no longer save the world. Her riveting introduction during the live streamed video was a heartwarming and emotional pivot into a captivating performance of “Goodbye.” Chosen specially for the anti- bullying segment of the concert, #IAMNOJOKE created by singer/songwriter Andrew Cole, Lorin shined along with the other 75 icons, legends and superstars featured during the six hour extravaganza.

It is easy to see that Rachel has begun to carve a well-deserved place in the music industry. She is certainly one to watch for in the near future. Her child-like innocence co-mingles with her musically relevant sophistication painting a colorful canvas In the soul of her songs……
