Glastonbury festival has been cancelled for the second year running due to COVID-19. The “enforced fallow year” marks the first time that the current incarnation of the music and arts festival will skip consecutive years. “In spite of our efforts to move Heaven & Earth, it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the festival happen,” organizers Emily and Michael Eavis write in a statement. “We thank you for your incredible support and let’s look forward to better times ahead.”

As with last year’s cancellation, ticket-holders can roll over their £50 deposit, guaranteeing a chance to secure tickets for the 2022 festival. In 2020, Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, and Paul McCartney were set to headline the festival. No lineup for next year’s festival—should it go ahead—has yet been confirmed. The 2019 edition featured the Cure, Stormzy, the Killers, Janet Jackson,  Kylie Minogue, and more.
