Crime Fiction Lover is pleased to bring you Dark Travellers, a 22-minute film that’s perfect if you love your Scottish crime fiction.

It’s been a huge year for crime writing in Scotland, thanks in no small part to the publication of The Dark Remains from William McIlvanney’s partial manuscript of a Laidlaw prequel as completed by Ian Rankin. That’s where the film begins, and as well as Ian Rankin you’ll also hear from Val McDermid on her novel 1979, and Graeme Macrae Burnet on his global hit novel His Bloody Project.

In fact, a whole range of authors we love have pitched in such as Denise Mina, Abir Mukherjee, Christopher Brookmyre and Marisa Haetzman. It’s a wonderful watch that won’t eat up too much of your time, and we have Publishing Scotland to thank for it.
