Riva has launched the first 130’ Bellissima at its La Spezia yard. The yacht has been sold to an American owner and is the largest model in the builder’s Flybridge range, which also includes the 90’ Argo, 102’ Corsaro Super and 110’ Dolcevita.

The 130’ Bellissima is the first planing flybridge in Riva’s range to extend across three full decks, with a full-widebody design, while remaining under 300GT. Her top speed is 22.5 kn and her cruising speed is 20.0 kn and her power comes from two MTU diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 staterooms, with 7 crew members waiting on their every need.

The 40m yacht with an almost 8m beam is the brainchild of Mauro Micheli, co-founder of Officina Italiana Design, which has designed all Riva’s yachts since 1994, and was developed with Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari and its Engineering Department.

Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group, said: “Riva Bellissima is a superlative boat, in both name and fact. As the new flagship in the flybridge range, she has all my admiration and enthusiasm.

“This is a magical year for Riva. Our yards are all in a state of grace and the results are there for everyone to see: beautiful boats, ecstatic owners. When you see a Riva cruising on the water, a Riva Bellissima, everything stops and you can pause the world to enjoy a tailor-made miracle, an aesthetic experience that words can’t describe.”

The glorious main saloon of the 130 Bellissima is a supremely relaxing and satisfying space to enjoy. Further forward is a substantial full-beam owner’s suite, with his’n’hers bathrooms, a private lounge and a study area. Above the saloon is a sky lounge with stunning views, while four very spacious guest suites occupy the lower deck. Well separated from the guest areas are the captain’s quarters and a set of crew cabins discreetly arranged in the forward part of the lower deck.

The exterior styling features carbon-fibre, steel and glass. The windshield is made with spherical crystals and features the typical counter-curvature, while the hull window design is based on a black line that runs along the silvery side of the boat and rises towards the deck.

Extensive glazed surfaces allow natural light to illuminate the interiors of the main and upper decks and offer magnificent panoramic views. The main saloon features glass and polished rosewood, and has ceilings over 2m high. The master suite is on the main deck, while there are four en-suite cabins and a large lobby on the lower deck.

The exteriors introduce a new concept for the stern area, which is divided into a large beach club and a generous cockpit, offering over 60sqm of liveable space. A jet-ski, tender and Seabob are stored in the port hull side. On the upper deck, the aft outdoor area is set up as a dining area seating 10, while the side walkways create two closed, private balconies. The sun deck offers further outdoor space for guests.

When delivered, Riva Bellissima will join a fleet of 1068 motor yachts in the 35-40m size range. Compared to similarly sized motor yachts, her cruising speed will be 1.66 kn above the average, her top speed 0.6 kn above the average and her volume 33.91 GT above the average.
