Camper & Nicholsons has been appointed as the charter Central Agency (CA) for The Maj Oceanic, a full-custom, 47m luxury phinisi launched in 2020.

Featuring up to 16 crew, the 154ft yacht has an all-inclusive charter fee (including dive master and instructor) from US$70,000 per week in the Bali and Komodo regions in the northern summer, then from US$77,000 in the Raja Ampat area during winter.

The yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in six en-suite cabins including a 1,300sqft, full-beam master suite with 270-degree views, en-suite bath and a private balcony aft. A 375sqft VIP suite is located aft on the main deck, while there are four double cabins on the lower deck.

Each guest cabin is fitted out to resort standards and has its own lounge and en-suite with jet shower, while there’s an optional upgrade to use an additional smaller twin cabin forward on the lower deck for children.

Social spaces include the impressive Gajah Mada lounge and dining room on the main deck, which features beautiful copper bas-reliefs depicting historic maritime scenes. There’s also a dedicated massage room and masseuse available (at extra cost).

The spacious sun deck offers 360-degree views and an alfresco dining area for lunches and late-night dinners.

The Maj Oceanic is equipped with a great selection of water toys including full scuba diving equipment, snorkelling sets, fishing tackle, kayaks and paddleboards, while crew can also arrange beach picnics or mountain treks. Guests can even practice golf on the top deck, using the yacht’s clubs and biodegradable golf balls!

With phinisi building recognised by UNESCO as a masterpiece of oral and tangible heritage of humanity, The Maj Oceanic offers an authentic way to travel the archipelago looked after by a crew with extensive experience cruising in the region.

“The Maj Oceanic has been handcrafted to embody traditional Indonesian style, with a contemporary twist,” Camper & Nicholsons stated.

“With charter itineraries that will bring you up close to the world’s largest lizards, face-to-face with endangered marine life, or simply help distract your mind from the pace of modern life, The Maj Oceanic will deliver a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
