The National are canceling their summer tour of North America due to COVID-19. The trek was set to begin in July and include support from Lucy Dacus, Julia Jacklin, and Sharon Van Etten. The band said it plans to reschedule shows for 2021. Find the National’s announcement below.

The National’s tour cancellation comes after the band was already forced to call of its Homecoming Festival, which would have taken place this past weekend. Instead of touring, the National have been hosting weekly “Exciting Communal Events” on YouTube. And, recently, frontman Matt Berninger sang Mercury Rev on a remote edition of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
