Willie Nelson is performing at a virtual Joe Biden fundraising event tonight (June 29), as BrooklynVegan notes. The “Texas Virtual Event” also features singer-songwriter Robert Earl Keen, former housing secretary Julián Castro, former Representative Beto O’Rourke, and activist Cecile Richards.
Then, next week, on Thursday, July 9, Senator Kamala Harris hosting the “Get Up Stand Up” virtual fundraiser for Biden. The event, which Harris calls “a dance party and conversation with our nation’s top DJs,” features Diplo, Beverly Bond, DJ Cassidy, D-Nice, Hannah Bronfman, and Jermaine Dupri. Last month, Joe Biden held a virtual campaign event called “Rock Out on a Night In.” The fundraiser featured Sheryl Crow, David Crosby, Rufus Wainwright, Jimmy Buffett, and Joe Walsh.
