Bad Bunny’s EL ÚLTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO is the No. 1 album in America this week, which means that for the first time in the Billboard album chart’s 62-year history, the No. 1 LP is an entirely Spanish-language album. It debuted with 116,000 equivalent album units, Billboard reports. Miley Cyrus’ Plastic Hearts debuted at No. 2 this week.

According to Billboard, previous No. 1 albums including Selena’s Dreaming of You (1995) and Il Divo’s Ancora (2006) were mostly sung in Spanish. Four all-Spanish-language albums that previously debuted in the top 5 (but didn’t reach No. 1) include Bad Bunny’s YHLQMDLG, Mana’s Amar es Combatir, and Shakira’s Fijación Oral: Vol. 1.

The LP marks is Bad Bunny’s third full-length release of 2020, following May’s LAS QUE NO IBAN A SALIR and Februrary’s YHLQMDLG. After performing with Ivy Queen and Nesi at the Billboard Music Awards, he was forced to cancel a scheduled performance at the American Music Awards due to a positive COVID-19 test.
