The second annual Inwood Hill Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving morning – November 25th – at Inwood Hill Park, beginning at 8am. The 5k trot can be done as a walk or a run, and takes in some of northern Manhattan’s most jaw dropping scenery and views.

The trot will benefit Inwood’s Food Pantry, which provides much needed nutrition to the local community.

The event is open to adults and children alike and kicks off at the entrance to Inwood Hill Park, at the 218th Street entrance, opposite Inwood Farm Cafe – sponsor and creator of this annual fundraising event.

Tom Bosco, owner of Inwood Farm, came up with the idea for the event as a way of bringing the community together to fundraise for the food pantry. It is one of a number of community themed events created by Inwood Farm – a farm to table restaurant.

The restaurant offers a range of breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menus – including a number of highly rated dishes created for vegetarians and vegans.
