In an array of sparkling gowns, dazzling stars, and the flurry of flashing lights, the industry screening of the new horror thriller “The Beast Inside” unraveled at the Village East Angelika Theater in New York City this past weekend. The event was orchestrated by John Pasquale who celebrated a supporting role in the film and also was one of the Executive Producers. The Red Carpet extravaganza welcomed over 200 guests, including leading lady and producer Sadie Katz, film Composer Randy Edelman, fellow executive producers Mario Reyes, and Eileen Shapiro, illustrious journalist and TV personality, Michael Musto, TV Profiles host Mickey Burns and a cascade of others.

“The Beast Inside” follows Anne portrayed by Sadie Katz ( The Bill Murray Experience) in her journey to conquer the beast that has invaded her body and threatens to kill her, and then move onto her young son. The film also stars Vernon Wells (Mad Max) and Laurene Landon (Airplane 2) and includes executive producer Jimmy Star. It is directed by Jim Towns and all music was written and performed by Randy Edelman. The movie is set for release this Fall.

The movie is filled with fear and terror. They’re at night so dark that the dawn is not merely distant beyond imagination. There are hours where grief lives, where fear rules, where truth lies, exposed like a wound. Hope hides and peace is for others. The minutes extend repeating the distress of the hour before. Sometimes people can’t name which scares them the most and in this case it’s the exorcism. The movie theme promotes self-exorcism, which is very new and different for this type of film. It has psychological turns and twists and even some comic relief within the character of the motel manager Tom, who is brilliantly played by John Pasquale.

The music created by Edelman is filled with dark destinies and bold sounds that vibrate with raw power. It speaks of an agony beyond all words. However, there is also an angelic, beauty and vulnerability in his music which lends intense credibility to the film. Randy Edelman’s creativity pushes open the heavy, groaning doorway of life itself.

A Q&A what is lead find Michael Musto following the film which included the executive produces, Sadie Katz and Randy Edelman.
