Last night, Ariana Grande returned with her first solo single since 2020, and, now, “Yes, And?” has a video. In the short, she stages a performance for a crowd of snooty critics, inevitably winning them over in party-starting fashion; it is inspired by Paula Abdul’s 1988 music video for “Cold Hearted,” as Variety notes. Check out the Christian Breslauer–directed video below.

Grande wrote and produced “Yes, And?” with Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh, her collaborators on “Problem,” “God Is a Woman,” “No Tears Left to Cry,” “Bang Bang,” and more. She followed her last album, 2020’s Positions, with collaborations with Lady Gaga (“Rain on Me”) and Kid Cudi (“Just Look Up”). She has also been filming the blockbuster musical Wicked, in which she will star as Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo.
