Sirens Season 1: Everything We Know So Far

It looks like Netflix is cooking up something sexy for audiences with an all-star cast led by the iconic Julianne Moore in Sirens.

From the creative mind that brought viewers the series Maid comes the first of a multiyear deal with the streamer.

Molly Smith Metzler has possibly penned another hit with a series that promises secrets, sex, and scandal.

Get ready to add another entry to your “watch list” because here’s everything we know so far about Sirens!

What Is Sirens About?

Devon thinks her sister Simone has a really creepy relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell.

Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention.

When Devon tracks her sister down to say WTF, she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be.

Sirens has been described as a female-driven dark comedy and an “incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class.”

The entirety of the plot takes place over a single weekend.

The series is based on Molly Smith Metzler’s (Shameless) 2011 play Elemeno Pea.

The story follows blue-collar social worker Devon, who visits her sister Simone in Martha’s Vineyard, where she is the personal assistant to the wife of a billionaire, Michaela.

Michaela and her husband are supposed to be away when Devon visits, but trouble ensues when Michaela returns unexpectedly.

How Many Episodes Will Sirens Season 1 Have?

There’s been no word about how many episodes the series will receive.

Metzler’s previous series, Maid, received a ten-episode count.

While we can only speculate, Netflix is not known for its consistency with episode counts apart from the fact that it rarely exceeds twelve.
