NEW YORK, NY — When a dysfunctional family runs a restaurant, what could possibly go wrong? Pretty much everything!
It’s the high stakes reopening night for the Abalafia family and their beloved restaurant, Nona’s Supper Club, a New York City landmark. In this interactive, original new musical, where the audience are not just watching the story—they’re part of it. As guests dine and drink, a hilarious and poignant multigenerational tale of love, legacy, and letting go unfolds around them.
Written by award-winning mother-child duo Amy Poux (book, music, lyrics) and Trudy Poux (music, lyrics), and uniting generations in artistic collaboration, NONA’S SUPPER CLUB was inspired by the life of Amy’s grandmother.
When Nona, the matriarch, announces her retirement, the Abalafia family scrambles to save their once-legendary restaurant. With a missing chef, a fast-talking hostess from Staten Island, and a bartender caught in romantic chaos, this family will either pull it together—or fall apart trying.
The premiere cast is led by Trudy Poux (Do Nothings), alongside jazz vocalist Leonisa Ardizzone, Adam Tomei (The Truman Show), and regional theater performers Allegra Coons, Ashton Fariello, Ryan Fogler, Ashton Fariello,Danielle Palumbo, and Tucker Poux. Amy Poux (Take to the Bed) serves as director and Russell McCook (Bad People) as Music Director. Jennifer Sabin (ABC News) is Associate Producer, marking the third theatrical collaboration between Sabin and Poux—sisters-in-law and long-time creative partners.
With an electrifying original score—from infectious pop anthems to show-stopping ballads – and a dinner menu available from Chelsea Table + Stage, this interactive musical celebrates love, resilience, and the power of food to bring people together.
For two nights only, the cast of NONA’S SUPPER CLUB brings the interactive production to Chelsea Table + Stage (152 West 26th Street) Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 7:00PM, with a cocktail hour beginning at 6:00PM, and a full menu available during the show.
