Doc Sneak Peek: Nobody Puts Amy in a Corner, Not Even Joan!

It’s been a rough hiatus for Doc Fanatics.

But it’s been an even harder turn of events for our beloved doctors at Westside, because after Hannah and Charlie hacked Amy and wreaked total havoc on her personal and professional life, the entire hospital is in jeopardy.

We’re still reeling from the events of Doc Season 2 Episode 9. Fortunately, TV Fanatic scored an exclusive sneak peek of tonight’s midseason premiere, and it already has us on the edge of our seats.

Returning to work after a mourning period turned into something right out of a soap opera must be awkward for everyone.

But for Amy? She’s mostly just furious, and who can blame her?

She believes someone is attempting to retaliate for something, and they’ve resorted to unfathomably unethical means to do so, which has affected not only her personal life but also her professional life.

But can it also affect her health?

Amy begrudgingly agreed to the stipulations of taking her meds and seeking out a new therapist who isn’t her best friend, so she could continue practicing medicine at the hospital.

But now Amy has more incentive than ever to change her regimen to prompt more memories. Amy urgently wants to know who could have such a vendetta against her that they’d stoop to these levels or take such an extreme approach.

And she hopes that her memories will help her piece something together.

Amy is a woman on a mission in this exclusive clip, as she sits in an office with Joan and Michael, brainstorming their next steps.

She wants to get back to practicing medicine, vindicated now that she knows the hacker is responsible for the dosage mishap that got her reprimanded and benched.

And who is Amy if not a passionate, career-driven woman who needs to practice medicine without any restraints, like she needs air to breathe?

The tension radiating off of her is palpable. Everyone feels it, and you can sense that Michael and Joan don’t even know how to calm Amy down, but Joan is taking the authoritative approach here.

She wants to keep Amy in line as much as possible, and that means laying down the law about Amy’s next steps.

Amy doesn’t want to take her meds, and she certainly doesn’t like feeling like a “sitting duck.” Michael tries to soothe her with the knowledge that, by changing her passwords, she should be in the clear. But we all know better, right?

Meanwhile, in a brief moment that’s enough to leave you grinding your teeth in frustration, Hannah and her high ponytail can be seen skulking past the office, witnessing the tension behind the glass doors even if she can’t hear everything that’s going on.

Amy Larsen can not be easily brushed off, and while it seems like maybe she’ll listen to Joan, we have to wonder for how long.

To make matters worse, Joan reminds Amy of her intern status and puts her on a case with Sonya, the one superior who feels like a slap in the face for everything Amy has done.

In the clip, Joan is firm in her stance, turns her attention to Michael, and, let’s just say, she means business.

But we all know that nobody can put Amy Larsen in a corner, so how will this pan out? Check out the clip below and join us later for a full review and recap of the episode!

Doc returns with an emotional midseason premiere tonight at 9/8c on FOX!
