Karlie Kloss Gives Birth, Welcomes Baby No. 3 With Husband Joshua Kushner
Karlie Kloss is modeling nonpartisanship.
Although her marriage to Joshua Kushner, whose brother Jared Kushner is married to President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, has inadvertently led to her inclusion in political discourse, she’s admitted that she’s learned how to navigate family relationships during such a politically charged time.
“Well, I know who I am,” the model told Bloomberg Originals in an interview published July 1. “I know the values that guide my life and the issues that I care about. So, you know, I haven’t lost sight of who I am, but also, it’s my husband’s family.”
As for whether she and the president have ever discussed politics, Karlie revealed, “I have never met President Trump.”
But when she and Joshua do get together with the rest of her brother-in-law’s family, the 33-year-old—who grew up in Missouri—noted she’s already accustomed to navigating potentially rocky waters.
“We’re sitting here in St. Louis, which is a blue dot in a red state,” she reflected. “Since as long as I can remember, I’ve always been exposed to a lot of different political points of view, and I think that trained me for my life. You know, I’m a Democrat.”
