Charlie Hunnam Shares Details on Sons of Anarchy Spinoff

But before the 46-year-old steps back into the boots of Jax Teller, he’s once again headed to screens as part of Ryan Murphy’s Monster series.

This time, however, Hunnam was able to take a step back from playing a murderer and instead became the murdered. While Ella Beatty portrays killer Lizzie Borden, Hunnam appears in Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story a Lizzie’s father Andrew Borden, one of her two victims.

“There was a lot less responsibility, obviously,” Hunnam said of his role in the series, premiering on Netflix Sept. 17. “You feel the weight of it, having to carry one of these shows. They swing for the fences with the drama and the emotion. And so it takes a lot. So, I was very happy to be here in support of Ella this time.”

Even so, “there was a lot to play with, with Andrew,” he added. “I really enjoyed him.”
