What A Wonderful World With Real Mrs Claus! By Lorraine Silvetz

What would the holiday season be without magical creatures like Santa Claus, his Elves, Reindeer and Mrs. Claus? Let’s not forget Santa could not do what he has done for centuries without the help and support of his magical and mystical wife. Mrs. Claus has sprung to life in the last few years in Manhattan when actress Jennifer Harrison donned her amazing red costume to play her favorite role to date. She also has a coterie of Elves to help her enchant city dwellers around the US.

Recently, she and her New York Elves visited Fountain House, a longstanding community for people with disabilities. Mrs. Claus and Elves donated their charm and charisma spreading joy among Fountain House members. Their joy was infectious.

Mrs. Claus also visits hospitalized children of all ages to raise their spirits. She has Elves in many US cities and throughout the world who help her spread joy to those in need….

The actress says that playing Mrs. Claus has brought her infinite joy. “Giving of yourself to make others happy, especially those who need it most, is very meaningful. My Elves and I have experienced unforgettable moments filled with love and solidarity.”

Mrs. Claus most recently spread joy in Puerto Rico, “We had the most magical week visiting the Pediatric Hospital of Puerto Rico. We brought gifts and smiles to so many sick children. It filled our hearts with hope and joy. This week illustrated what Christmas is all about – spreading joy and love.”

Mrs. Claus added, “We switched things up and did our “Feliz Navidad” choreography at Plaza Las Americas shopping center.” Mrs. Claus and her Elves danced their way into the hearts of the audience.

Mrs. Claus and her Elves also visited Capestrano Hospital. She stated, “It was incredibly moving since we met a group of girls under the care of the Family Department of Puerto Rico whose parents were either incarcerated or struggling with drug addiction. What these teenage girls, ages of 13 to 17, need most is a big hug.”

After bringing joy to young and old the week affirmed that the true gift of Christmas and the holiday season is giving love, hope and time. Mrs. Claus says “There is no greater gift than sharing joy with those in greatest need.”

Mrs. Claus would like to give thanks to Rita Colon, Maria Beale, Club Civica de Damas de Puerto Rico for organizing such a tremendous media hospital tour over the course of the week.
