Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, who died in 2018, was a prolific composer for film, television, theater, and more. Today, a surprise new EP called Gold Dust has been released, and it features pieces that went unused for the many projects he worked on. Listen to it below

Jóhannsson was a two-time Oscar nominee for 2015’s Sicario and 2014’s The Theory of Everything. His final score was for Mandy. Read about it in the feature “How Jóhann Jóhannsson’s Final Film Score Was Made.”
