“Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others”…. Jonathan Swift

Amidst the historic architecture, cast iron buildings, cobble stone streets, bohemian vibe and streets lined with couture boutiques, the Soho district was the scene of a unique and vibrant art exhibit by artist Taty entitled “Portrait of Freedom” designed to help benefit the victims of the war in Ukraine. The oversized loft type space was lined with rockstar portraits, celebrity visions, paintings of friends, sports figures and Ukrainian war heroes. The gallery was lined with celebrities and rockers as well including best-selling author and punk rock musician John Robb from the UK, TV Host of Profiles Mickey Burns, 3 Time Emmy Award Winning Anchor and 2 Time NY Times Best Seller Rita Cosby, Studio 54 PR icon Queen of the Night, Lisa White from the Mayor’s office, Good Will Ambassador Errol Rappaport, philanthropist Lorraine Silvetz, actress, singer, producer Quinn Lemley, Celebrity photographer Billy Hess, just to mention a small few….

The exhibit was sponsored by SohoJohnny/Pep Real Estate and hosted an enormous crowd all stopping by to wish TATY well on her debut exhibit and to celebrate her magnificent art. TATY paints with her heart through the souls of her subjects….somewhat like “The Picture of Dorian Gray” only in the best possible fashion. While she is painting her subjects it is as if she becomes them, capturing the very essence of who they are and translating it onto a blank canvas that becomes their reality. “ The greatness of art is not to find what is common, but what is unique”…Isaac Bashevis Singer

To TATY every painting is a new adventure, a new friend, a new family member. Tatyana Horoshko was born in Kiev and is the creator of TatyDesignStudioInc. She received her education at the National Art Academy in Kiev Ukraine, Parsons School of Design and the New School for Social Research. She was a painter in Vienna, Austria, Millan, Florence, Italy, and New York City, and has created art for brands including Dior, Ann Taylor Loft, Nordstrom, NeimanMarcus, and others. In her own words “ I connect with the soul of my object and become them, so from the canvas is projected to the soul or the spirit of a person.”

The exhibit was not only a magical entrancement into the art of TATY, but a huge social event as well. Hors d’oeuvres, and champagne were served as the crowd connected with one another as well as her paintings. The vibe was exuberant and the congregation socialized and mingled with each other while enjoying the art. TATY included in her exhibition the paintings of Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Freddie Mercury, Randy Edelman, Bob Marley, Adam Ant, Errol Rappaport, Billy Hess, benefactor SohoJohnny, and many others. In a special presentation she honored Rita Cosby and Tomaczek Bednarek with a romantic and beautiful portrait of them together.

TATY would like to give a very special to Peprealestate.com, SohoJohnny, GTForce, Black Tie Magazine, Lisa D. White, Robert and Lorraine Silvetz, Jane and John Pontarelli, Gloria Cressler, Alexander Sasha Gegera, Charles and Olga Romaine, Ally and Char Romaine, Victoria Vladi, Cherry Castelvi, Ed and Judy, Schloeman, Judy Gilbert, Billy Hess, and World Star PR.
