Members and friends came together for a historic meet-and-greet art show at the 3 West Club. World-renowned American artist, Tatyana Horoshko Gegera’s portraits filled the beautiful room.

Tatyana received an art education in Kiev, Ukraine at the National Art Academy, and Parsons School of Design and New School for Social Research. She has been a portrait painter in Rome, Milan, Florence, and New York City. Her passion is painting people who make a difference in the world, particularly in the world of philanthropy. She stated that she connects with the soul of the subject while painting them to capture their soul and spirit.

Her latest show displayed mostly influential women and a few men since it is Women’s Month. Her most recent addition to her coterie of thought leaders and change-makers is 3 West Club’s very own Vice President, Jane Pontarelli. The portrait is a stunner.

Pontarelli champions three types of charities.

In her own words, “Children, because they’re the beginning of life and our future. Cancer, because it’s a tragic part of life. And animals because they are the voice of the voiceless”.

The solo portrait of Jane is richly deserved given all she has done to help humanity throughout her amazing career.

Tatyana shared how much America means to her since she and her family came here as refugees. She added that America is the land of opportunity not only for herself, her husband, and her daughter and she feels blessed to live here.

Another amazing woman, Fashion Icon, Iris Apfel, was immortalized by Tatyana. The designer whose trademark is oversized glasses, wearing extraordinary jewelry designed by Masha Archer sadly passed away amazing March 1st of 2024 at 102 years old. She was one of a kind and will be sorely missed. The original painting is a part of her estate.

She wisely stated:

“Fashion you can buy, but style you possess. The key to style is learning who you are, which takes years. There’s no road-map to style”

Many VIP’s attended the Women’s Month event including President of 3 West Club, Rosanne Varvaro, developer, Joe Pontarelli, comedian and writer, Jeffrey Gurian, singer/actress, Quinn Lemley, Good Will Ambassador, Errol Rappaport, writer, Gloria Cressler, Best Selling Author, Tom Avitabile, writer/executive director, Lorraine Silvetz, MSW, artist, Rosalind Panda, artist, Cherie Corso, model/actress, Sara Johnson Kaplan, lawyer/art dealer, Abe Shainberg, Esq., Marcia Minassian, among many other notables.
